Kinetic DeLight
Kinetic DeLight is a playful, interactive art installation designed for the Portland Winter Light Festival. The installation consists of a 40-foot-long custom steel frame supporting 700 LED-embedded skateboard wheels. The object appears unlit but invites touch with the soft wheels that spin. As passersby discover this interactive delight they become overwhelmed with joy and playfulness with the object. The design was so successful it was asked to come back a second year and then found a permanent home with the Pickathon musical festival.
