Hillsboro Hops Stadium
The new Hillsboro Hops Stadium project is a state-of-the-art facility designed to elevate the minor league baseball experience while creating a year-round community asset. Built to meet rigorous "Major League Development" standards, the stadium replaces the Hops' former home at Ron Tonkin Field with a larger, high-performance venue capable of hosting 6,000 fans for baseball and up to 10,000 for concerts and festivals. The design strategy centers on creating an agile, multi-use destination that is seamlessly integrated into the larger Gordon Faber Recreation Complex.
The site design prioritizes the "fan journey," featuring an expansive entry plaza that serves as a protected social hub for pre-game gatherings and community events. Internally, the project emphasizes flexibility through a 360-degree walkable concourse, tiered seating, and specialized hospitality zones designed to provide diverse spectator experiences. High-performance environmental features, including sustainable stormwater management systems and energy-efficient lighting, ensure the stadium meets modern resilience goals while providing a world-class atmosphere for players and the public alike.
