The alternative campus for the Evergreen Public School system houses three programs: Legacy High School, Hollingsworth Academy, and Archway Academy. Legacy HS provides an alternative schedule and resources for non-standard students. Outdoor classrooms, lunch seating, and basketball hoops provide space to be outdoors. Hollingsworth is a middle school for students with severe behavioral and emotional challenges and uses a 1:1 student to teacher ratio, high level of security, and diverse spaces to allow for the expression of strong emotions. Walking and looping pathways are designed to support calming strategies. Soft but durable materials are used on the surfaces to allow for rough play or rest. Nooks within the courtyard offer spaces to take a time out with views of nature. The Archway Academy is a program that provides technical work skills for recent graduates. An outdoor classroom and lunch space is provided for these young adults. The cohesive site design uniquely supports these different user groups with highly specific needs.
