Kenton Gateway
The Kenton Gateway serves as a monumental threshold into the neighborhood that synthesizes Kenton’s industrial timber heritage with modern geometry. Located at the primary entrance to the district, the installation features a series of plasma-cut, weathering steel panels that are inspired by organic patterns of tree bark, providing a textured woodsy backdrop that compliments the iconic 31-foot-tall Paul Bunyan statue. This high-visibility landmark integrates bold, stainless-steel typography, a stylistic nod to the area’s historic stockyard signage, ensuring the arrival experience is a meaningful encounter that honors the neighborhood’s rugged grit while signaling its urban evolution.
