Parking Addition and Consolidated Rental Car Facility
The Parking Addition and Consolidated Rental Car Facility (PACR) at Portland International Airport represents a significant infrastructure expansion designed to streamline the traveler experience while increasing airport capacity. The project focuses on transforming a high-density utility structure into a welcoming gateway for millions of annual passengers, prioritizing a refined entry point that reflects regional values. Those values are reflected in the landscape design with native plantings, local basalt stonework, and fire damaged Douglas Firs that were salvaged from a regional forest fire.
