Port of Portland Headquarters
The Port of Portland headquarters, a large-scale complex infrastructure project, is an administrative office building at the Portland International Airport, which balances stringent aviation safety requirements with a commitment to environmental sustainability and occupant well-being by situating a LEED Platinum-certified workspace atop a seven-story airport parking garage. The identity signage is a 10-foot tall weathering steel wall with lighted naming that doubles as the security wall for the airport control tower at the building’s entry plaza, providing an elevated arrival experience while also performing a technical requirement. The weathering steel is a unifying element found on the building’s secure eighth-floor terrace for employees. A tenth-floor green roof is designed for rainwater management.
